Vanguards Focus Team

The Vanguards Focus Team is an invitation-only youth climbing team for athletes ready to train more consistently and begin developing the skills used in competitive climbing.

The team meets twice per week with coaching focused on:

• climbing technique and movement
• strength and physical conditioning
• mental training and confidence
• strategy and goal setting
• teamwork, responsibility, and sportsmanship
• preparation for optional climbing competitions

Focus Team athletes are expected to bring a positive attitude, a desire to improve, and a willingness to support their teammates.

Vanguards receive full Vertical Ventures member benefits and free rental gear as part of their membership. Athletes are encouraged to climb outside of scheduled practices as their training progresses.

Ages: 6–18
Requirement: Invitation / Coach Approval
Monthly Membership: $210

Practice days and coach assignments vary by enrollment option. Please select the approved team session for your athlete.
